Project Manager at Helsingborgshem

Helsingborgshem is a modern housing company with 12,000 apartments in over 30 residential areas. We strive to develop housing, neighborhoods, and services that match different lifestyles and needs. Do you want to help make Helsingborg an attractive city to live in for a diversity of people? Read more at www.helsingborgshem.se (http://www.helsingborgshem.se).

We are strengthening our construction section with an additional project manager. Do you want to lead renovation projects that make a difference for our customers while contributing to a sustainable city? We are looking for someone who combines customer focus, safety, and all dimensions of sustainability in every project.

Responsibilities

As a project manager in our construction section, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and following up on renovation projects in our property portfolio. You will drive the projects through the entire process - from feasibility study to handover - and ensure delivery based on project goals. You will prepare tender documents, procure contracts according to LOU, and manage contracts with responsibility for time, quality, and economy. You will also help prepare decision-making documents for decisions in the board and investment council. In the project manager role, you will stay updated on laws, regulations, and industry agreements such as ABT, LOU, BBR, and occupational health legislation.

What makes you unique for this role is that you do not just see the building - you see the whole picture. You are curious about how the world is developing and keep yourself updated on new working methods, trends in the construction and real estate industry, and sustainable solutions that enhance the quality of your projects. You take into account the customer's perspective and the safety of the area, adapting projects according to the needs of the properties and the current residential area. Each project is unique and requires you to make the right choices at the right time, based on the property's status, new knowledge, and our long-term goals. Through continuous learning and an interest in development, you contribute, through your projects, to our climate goals of reducing our impact by 2030 and creating a safe and sustainable Helsingborg.

In the construction section, you will be part of an independent and knowledgeable team of six colleagues, where we share knowledge, reflect on challenges, and highlight new opportunities. We are curious about the industry's development and are eager to try new methods in collaboration with both the city, academia, and the business community. Through our projects, you will contribute to urban development, create attractive living environments, and work towards reducing climate impact.

Qualifications

To be able to contribute and be successful in this role, we prefer that you have the following experiences and knowledge:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, civil engineering, or equivalent
  • Several years of experience in project management of renovation projects within the construction/real estate sector
  • Experience in all stages of the project from feasibility study to completion and handover
  • Business and property economic understanding
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English
  • Driving license B

It is an advantage if you have experience from the client side, knowledge of LOU, occupational health/BAS-P, and contract law.

Personal Attributes

We are looking for someone who is business-minded, responsible, and driven by their own initiatives. You make decisions, find solutions to obstacles, and work in a structured and analytical manner with great engagement. As a person, you are flexible, value the whole picture, and collaborate successfully with both specialists and key individuals. You are happy to share your knowledge, are empathetic in tenant dialogue, and are used to leading teams with different competencies.

We Offer

By joining us, you contribute to making Helsingborg an attractive place to live for a diversity of people! In this position and within Helsingborgshem as an organization, there is a long-term perspective in the work where we strive for satisfied customers and to take social responsibility.

Welcome to a company with a big heart!
